Here’s What’s Happening In My World

Confession time:
I’ve been hiding for way too long,
Behind generic company names
“Safe” opinions designed to blend in,
A deliberate lack of building a brand…

The reason?
Part conditioning,
Part imposter syndrome.

2026 is going to be different.
It’s the year I own my space,

Speak my truth,And call out what I feel is wrong in my industry.

If you’ve had enough of the BS that is being shared in lieu of free marketing  “help”
This newsletter is specifically for you!

Here’s some terrible advice I’ve seen:

You need to spend 6 hours a day on LinkedIn,
Marketing = Endless posting on social media
Adding fluff to an offer only to inflate its perceived value is OK.

I’m here to tell you that it’s BS!

How I See It

2026 is the year people are craving trust and real stories more than ever.
I’m seeing a collective move away from the hustle
And founders wanting to build intentionally and create more time
Rather than endlessly chase revenue goals.

2026 is also the year human-led brands will rise
We’ve seen how AI-written content is being received by people
Then there’s the fact that human content ranks better in AI-recommendations
The way forward is a human-centered brand,
With a unified, consolidated online presence that compounds trust,
Lots of storytelling, and formats like blogs making a strong comeback.
If you ask me, the blog is your prime marketing asset,
But we saw the trend away from blogging for a bit,
And now, action-takers are already dusting up their blogs to get ChatGPT recommendations and stay ahead of the curve.

Here’s how to thrive in these changing times as a business owner:

Build trust by showing up as YOU.
No need to chase perfection, your audience has had enough of that in 2025.
2026 is about the journey, the struggles, the lows and the highs.
Share the real, messy version that makes your audience feel seen and heard.

Speak up for your values.
We are past vanilla content, and ChatGPT is doing a fine job at creating tons of it anyways.
Have an opinion, share it.
You will attract your tribe by doing so.

Give people a reason to believe in you,
By sharing what you believe in.

Lastly,
Create a consolidated front with your online presence,

And see what actually creates an impact in YOUR world,
Not just what is being hyped as the in thing.

If I were to pick one thing to do today,
I’d start/refresh your blog, and be strategic about my blogging plan.
This means:
1. Have a content strategy in place
2. Ensure your blogs are valuable for humans

3. Incorporate your SEO strategy into your blog to show up in search

Motherhood Adventures

I’m a mom of 4 + 1 👼🏻
Boys 18 and 3,
Girls 9 and 10.

I’ve always had a baby to look after for as long as I can remember 😅

I deeply appreciate the unconditional love, and the richness they bring to my life.
There’s never a dull day, and my home is full of laughter because of them.

Today we skipped routine and did something different.
Saturdays are therapy day for my youngest, so we don’t plan anything else.
Today, we went to an amusement park instead!

I got on a pirate ship ride after 24 years I think…

Last time, it was a school trip with friends,
I chose the same seat, last row, where you pull the most Gs.

My kids were shrieking with excitement
That this time I had joined them instead of watching the baby,
Husband volunteered and instead of saying,
No I need to watch him myself,
I said sure, I’ll go with the kids then!

And as I was pulling Gs, I realized,

I had gotten so involved in the mom and the marketer role,

That I forgot myself….

Always thinking about the kids, or work,

Always ensuring everything and everyone was taken care of

I always came last

On my own list.

This simple act of taking a break today

Felt soooo good!

You should defo try it, if you aren’t doing this already.

Something You Can Try This Month

I know this sounds cliché
But I’ll still say it:

If there’s one thing you can do this month,
Look at what you’ve been putting off,
And just start….
Don’t wait for the perfect time or conditions.

This is my mistake,
I waited:
For the babies to grow bigger,
For my health to get better,
For my relatives to become more accepting.

I waited and watched from the sidelines
As people with half my experience built their brands and gained momentum.
I waited while silently resenting my situation,
Which was nothing more than my own choice.

Nothing happened the way I wanted:
Just when I thought I was done with raising babies
(My youngest was 6 and fairly independent)
I had another baby, this time with a near death experience for me.

Just when I thought I had recovered from a health issue,

I had a special needs baby that will never truly “recover”.

Just when I thought people were changing around me,
I realized they weren’t changing for me,
They were changing for themselves.
I could never gain their acceptance because I was right,
Only when it suited them, so there really wasn’t a point in trying.

Just when I thought I’d be able to invest in my business this month,
Something else would come up that I’d prioritize investing in.

It took a few deep sessions with myself,

And some mindset and identity work to realize,
There is no perfect time,
There is only one time, and that’s now.

All you need is to figure out your next best step,
And trust your judgement.
Invest in yourself and your business,
Take calculated risks.
Because success requires action.

Until Next Time

The question I’m sitting with this month:

What would I do differently if I stopped optimizing for what looks impressive and started optimizing for what feels sustainable?
I’m curious what comes up for you.
Share your answer with me.

One Last Thing

When I was on the pirate ship,
My kids started getting a bit scared when we gained maximum height.
My daughter said, I feel like throwing up, make them stop!

We were being pushed out of our comfort zone,
And our brain wanted to quit.

When the ride ended, my daughter said,
Let’s do another round!
I said,
You were about to throw up a minute ago.

And she says,
I want to throw up, let’s go again!

And I realized,
It’s just like building a business.
We are pushed out of our comfort zone,
Trying new things, taking risks,
Letting go of control in some cases,
Investing in experts or tools etc.

Our brain wants us to quit.
It feels uncomfortable, scary and hard.

Stay the course, and like my daughter,
You’ll find it worth doing all over again.
